1975. Our current budget is
approximately twelve million dollars and
our staff of 200 full-time and part-time

therapists, social workers, direct care
workers, and administrative support
staff. The Board and Management Team at
Warren-Yazoo Mental Health Service
foster an environment where creativity
and adaptability lead to new services to
meet needs and continue the growth of a
healthy and vital community. This
forward thinking process has led to the
creation of new programs that fit our
communities’ particular needs. This
innovation and creativity along with the
willingness to adapt to changing
community needs has offered our agency
the opportunity to be a part of pilot
projects funded through the Mississippi
Department of Mental Health.
Warren-Yazoo Mental Health Service is
also sited as a model program for
community mental health. Warren-Yazoo
Mental Health Service receives
monitoring visits from the Mississippi

Mississippi Department of Medicaid.
Every other year the Ms Department of
Mental Health conducts a certification
site visit. Our last Medicaid audit
resulted in an error rate of less than
0.25%, which is much less than the
allowable error rate of 5%.
